From Vancouver Airport the route
to Whistler takes you directly through Vancouver and past world-renowned Stanley
Park. As you pass over Lions Gate Bridge, which spans the spectacular waterway
at the start of the Alaskan Cruises, you may see one of the huge ships operated
by Holland America or Princess Cruises.
The journey past Howe
sound, Shannon Falls and the snow covered peaks on the way to
Whistler is one of Canada's most spectacular drives.... so have your
cameras ready.
Vancouver
International Airport is located 75 miles south of Whistler,
approximately 2 1/2 - 3 hours from the airport depending upon
traffic conditions as you pass through Vancouver.
A car is not essential during your stay in Whistler Village. Much of
the Resort is within easy walking distance. The Whistler Village
core is a pedestrian only environment. Good transportation,
servicing developed properties is provided ensuring that guests do
not require a personal vehicle.
