Kitsilano
In the 1960s, Kitsilano was Vancouver's hippy hangout, drawing comparisons to
San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury. Today, Kitsilano still has plenty of culture,
but its apartments and houses are now occupied by young urban professionals who
enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Most of the action is centered on
Fourth Ave Vancouver and West Broadway,
with bookstores, ethnic restaurants, cafes and specialty retailers offering
plenty of places to explore
Kits Beach
Definitely a happening
place geared for the younger set (teens to thirties) with a lovely outlook
spanning from open bay, to North Shore mountains to Stanley Park. There are lots
of activities here with something for everyone.
On the Seaside Seawall system Concession stands, The Watermark on Kits Beach

roller blade bike or walk. Kits beach is accessible by a 20 minute walk over the
Burrard Street Bridge from Downtown Vancouver.

edge. |
