Shopping in Vancouver

Shopping in Vancouver is easy because shopping areas are concentrated into a few blocks. Most antique stores are on South Granville Street or on Main Street. Most outdoor gear is near MEC on West Broadway and most high end boutiques are on Robson Street.
Vancouverites have not embraced malls as much as one might imagine. That doesn't mean there aren't great malls, especially downtown Pacific Center Mall and Sinclair Center with its luxury boutiques and department stores.

However, for a megamall experience, hop on the Sky Train and get off at the Metrotown Station. Here you'll find three adjoining malls: Station Square, Metrotown Centre, and Metropolis. Together they comprise over 450 shops, two food fairs, several restaurants, two giant grocery stores, two cinema complexes with 15 theatres and a hotel.

If you feel like getting out into the neighbourhoods there are some great areas that bring out the best in what Vancouver is all about Vancouver's Chinatown is the second largest in North America or check out Commercial Drive known as "Little Italy" with many shops and Restaurants. Other neighbourhoods include Granville Island, Fourth Ave and Kitsilano just minutes away from downtown Vancouver close to the beach with ton's of activities, shops a and Kitsilano just minutes away from downtown Vancouver close to the beach with ton's of activities, shops and restaurants.

Alittle further south and you will find the neighbourhood of Kerrisdale and the nearby mall of Oakridge.

Those of you more adventurous a drive out of the city has some great malls to the east Coquitlam Center, through Stanley Park and over the Lions Gate Bridge there is Park Royal or near the Vancouver Airport in Richmond you will find Richmond Centre.

For street shopping, Vancouverites and visitors alike love Robson Street on the Vancouver west end, just two blocks south of and parallel to West Georgia. Here you'll find many of the best shops in Vancouver and plenty of places to eat so you can keep up your shopping stamina.
