The Night Market overlooks the Fraser River’s middle estuary on a 400,000 square foot site in central Richmond BC. The space is divided into vendor spaces, a large concert-style stage, and an arena for carnival games and rides. To accommodate our visitors, we provide parking space for over 1000 vehicles.  It's
a festival, a carnival, a celebration of food, culture and adventure. The
Richmond Night Market is a dazzling summer event that captures the hearts and
imaginations of millions of visitors of all ages. The sheer splendour of the
site has a magnetic quality, a vast space teeming with visitors, 400 vendors
selling extraordinary fabrics, decorations, trinkets, toys and richly aromatic
foods, and entertainers romancing audiences with cultural performances from
Asian and Western traditions. Established in the summer of 2000, the Richmond Night Market is steadily becoming Richmond's hottest attraction. Raymond Cheung, Richmond Chamber of Commerce's Young Entrepreneur of 2003, founded the Market to integrate cultures with a fun and exciting array of activities, merchandise and amusement. As a young entrepreneur himself, Cheung also uses the Market to help promote both novice and seasoned entrepreneurs who wish to test potential products on curious crowds. Adding to the excitement of a new year with a new theme, the Night Market has also initiated a new attraction visitor-involvement games. Starting with a Treasure Hunt through the Night Market grounds, an exciting line-up of activities will keep visitor-enjoyment at a maximum. Now in its seventh summer, the event held weekend evenings from the end of May to the beginning of September is expected to draw millions of visitors with this years theme: Summer of Love. Love in all its many-splendoured forms will permeate the air, with romance and family devotion playing equal roles in the multicultural event.
