Rodeo Drive |
|
One
of the most expensive neighborhoods in the world continues to draw wealthy
shoppers and "Pretty Woman" fans.Located in Beverly Hills, on the western side of the Los Angeles metropolitan area, between Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards Make sure and visit Rodeo Drive at its best during the evening near Christmas, when lights and flowers decorate the streets, and the stores get more gussied up than their best-dressed patrons. Allow an hour for people-watching and window-shopping, more if you plan to dine or buy something. The rest of the year, it's less crowded weekdays. Avoid Sunday. Many shops are closed, and all you'll find are a few tourists peering into darkened windows. The Rodeo Drive legend is much bigger than the street itself, and visitors marvel at how small the shopping area is. The street stretches from Sunset to Wilshire, but Rodeo Drive the Holy Grail of Shopping is only three blocks long. Rodeo Drive is probably the single most famous, most prestigious shopping street on the planet, and it anchors a larger shopping district that is absolutely without equal. As you stroll Rodeo, you'll recognize the name of every single store...Prada, Escada, Gucci, Valentino, Armani, Versace, Dior, Cartier, Tiffany. Rodeo is a living theater of fashion, art and an endless parade of fascinating people from everywhere. But it is a great place to visit because it doesn't cost anything to shop there, parking is free and the spectacle is fun to watch. |
