The
Coquitlam Adanacs are a Canadian box lacrosse team based in Coquitlam, British
Columbia. The Adanacs play in B.C.'s seven team Western Lacrosse Association
(WLA), whose champion competes against Ontario's Major Series Lacrosse champion
for the Mann Cup every September.All sports are steeped in tradition. New teams come and go, but there are certain clubs that remain intricately entangled in the very history of the game. Lacrosse has the Adanacs, the name Adanac – CANADA, spelled backwards Always an exciting, high-scoring club, the Adanacs hit a peak in 1980 when the team captured the Nations ’80 World Box Lacrosse Title, and the WLA league championship. After three trips to “the show”, the COQUITLAM ADANACS won their first Mann Cup title in 2001 The Coquitlam Senior Adanacs play out of the Coquitlam Sports Centre, located at 633 Poirier St in Coquitlam. The Sports Centre has seating for 1,500 fans, 2200 including standing room. All games begin at 7:45 pm. |
