Very "Hard Rockish". We felt very old. Most guests under 35 years old.

Room 2902 (29th floor, view North) The negative: couple of chips in the
paint, sketchy Wi-Fi, cost of a Pepsi (well it is a hotel). The
extraordinary: The Staff, the view, the bed, the food, the staff, the
wine, the shower, the climate control, the location, the staff, the
view, the bed, checking out without having to check out. and did I
mention the staff, the view and the bed. and finally, the staff. New
lifelong customer.

We were very happy with the accommodations. Only problem was your agent
misspelled my name so the hotel had no record. A little "detective" work
found the reservation.

I stayed at the Hyatt for a week during a conference. The rooms were
very nice, with some real thought going into their decoration. The
location was good and the staff was outstanding. The only thing that it
could have used was a swimming pool. There was not much in terms of
activities to make this a family hotel, but clearly it is aimed at
business travelers. I would have, however, enjoyed a relaxing swim after
a long day of conferencing. Some internet deals make it a value option
during off-peak seasons, and during these promotions it's a complete
steal.

We had read reviews prior to our stay and were quite surprised that this
hotel was much nicer than expected. The room was clean and nicely sized.
The staff was very friendly. Good location - shuttle service was great!
The attached restaurant, although not affiliated except by rental
agreement, was good. Wonderful breakfast and friendly service. Would
definitely stay here again.

It locates in the areas with many sightseeing places and within walking
distance. Even you want to take L or bus, it's very near and convenient
but it takes long time to wait and runs very slow. Don't waste your time
on it. The room is clean and cozy. I especially loved the king size bed
which gave me very good sleep. My husband mentioned that it's very good
to have free internet access. I didn't like the attitude of the staff.
They rarely had smile and impatiently answered my questions.

Hotel was basic, TV was fuzzy, Rooms were clean, Staff was friendly
however manager was unwilling to work with us to upgrade room. Even were
willing to pay extra, manager didn't know how this could possibly be
done. Restaurant was fine, bar was fine. Vending machines were near
empty. Lots of brochures, no shuttle to Chicago Midway. Taxis on sight,

The rest of the hotels were not available or priced way over the budget.
We had a clean room with an east view to allow us to see the Drive and
the Sunrise.. Car fire on the drive at 5:30am awakened us. T.V. didn't
work [Letterman had an echo]. Minor repairs were needed as though the
place needed a 'mom'.

This was a great choice. It was close to the train system which we took
downtown and to see the cubs. The staff was very friendly not sure what
happened with the other reviewer. Gave us great advice on what to see
and where to go. I would stay here again. Oh free parking anywhere in
the city is a big plus.

Charging $15 to hotel guests to use the fitness room!? give me a break!
And the hotel pool was closed during our whole 3-night stay -- without
any pre-registration notice -- and no rebate for disappointed guests!

We stayed here during the Labor Day weekend because not many other
hotels were available. The price was reasonable considering it's a
downtown hotel. For bars, restaurants and shopping we had to commute a
mile or two either by cab or bus.

Four of us ladies stayed in this wonderful place for our spring break
getaway. Everything was great-especially having two bathrooms and the
excellent location to all the loop attractions. By the time you leave,
you definitely feel like you have been pampered. We couldn't have asked
for anything better.

For central location, and a quick meeting, this is the place. Great
conference rooms for small groups and you can get on a plane in minutes.
The hotel needs more restaurants, though.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. The bed was soft, the shower
warm, the room service prompt after a long busy trip. We stayed the
night before our early AM flight and it gave us the refreshing burst of
energy we needed. Very business like without much glitter, typical of a
transit hotel. Very pleased with our brief stay!

Fell in love with this hotel and the helpfulness of the staff. Room was
clean , neat with the little extras that make it special. My daughter
had the a room that was just totally awesome! - second floor, right over
the entrance. The only regret is that I wish I could have stayed
longer!. Fell in love with Chicago - a good part due to this hotel!

Beautiful view over Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan. Easily within
walking distance of restaurants, Lincoln Park Zoo and just about
anything else you could need. Friendly service but needs a little
updating(stains on carpet, etc).Decent price, clean, quiet and overall a
good experience.

Having lived in the area and booking all my family visitors there, I
knew the Terrace was an excellent place to stay. This trip did not
disappoint although the night auditor was a bit slow on how parking
worked and the wake-up call was an hour early.

This hotel is in a great location. Just a few blocks from 2 different
metra lines. Also surrounded by great restaurants. Once we parked our
car (in the free parking), we didn't have to drive it all weekend. The
hotel is a little odd in that you have to go to 4th floor, over, and up
to the pool. It is also obviously old and a little noisy once people
start moving about int he morning and at night. But, it was clean and
had decent beds. Great price for the location and amenities provided by
a downtown hotel. We would definately go back.

Nice clean non-smoking 2-bed room. Somewhat small but comfy.Free parking
a plus. Great Brewpub a couple of blocks away. Good breakfast across the
street. Pool good - not crowded, could be warmer. Wireless internet ok,
somewhat slow.
