Occupying the northern end of a barrier island, Wild Dunes Resort is a
1,600-acre resort complex located approximately 12 miles from downtown
Charleston and 21 miles from Charleston International Airport. This location is
also eight miles from the Fort Sumter boat dock, Patriots Point Naval & Maritime
Museum (USS Yorktown), the Boone Hall Plantation, and the Charles Pinckney
National Historic Site. Resort amenities include the 93-room inn, vacation rental villas, two golf courses, 17 tennis courts, 20 heated swimming pools (including one in each villa complex), and more than two miles of beach. A health club in the villas' reception center has women's and men's steam rooms, a sauna, and massage rooms. A health spa is next to the health club for beauty and body treatments.
