& beverage menu creations and views of all 8 facility surfaces. Equipped with
the latest satellite technology, 2 big screen TV's and fourteen 27" televisions,
you will never miss a beat of any major global sporting event. The Hockey Store, located on-site is well-stocked and carries a wide selection of top quality hockey and soccer gear to satisfy your basic needs. Plus, we also offer several other valuable services including on-site skate sharpening
Canlan Ice Sports- Burnaby 8 Rinks is also the official home of the Skate Canada B.C. Centre of Excellence. Under the direction of Joanne McLeod, the Skate Canada B.C. Centre of Excellence is the home of World and Olympic competitors and National and International Champions including the 3-time Canadian Men’s Champion and 3-time Grand Prix Final Men’s Champion – Emmanuel Sandhu. Preparations are already underway for the push towards 2010!
Since 1995, Burnaby 8 Rinks has been the official training facility for the Vancouver Canucks and has hosted several of their official training camps. As well, throughout the year numerous large scale events that have taken place at the facility have included:
Bell's Making the Cut Reality TV series, Challenge Cup Hockey Tournament, N.A.S.H. Super Series, Michael Cuccione Foundation Skate For A Cure, B.C. Summer Skate, Old Fashioned Christmas, B.C. Hydro Hockey Tournament, International Firefighters Tournament, Cliff Avenue United Soccer Tournament, BMHA Female Remembrance Day Tournament, VTMHA Atom C International Tournament, Centre-Ice Female Tournament and many more.
