We very much enjoyed staying at the Sheraton in Anchorage. Very clean and the people were very friendly. Hot coffee etc. between 4 and 7 were real nice as well in the cold weather. Room was very clean and neat and pretty large. the staff went out of their way to assist us at this Anchorage hotel.

This inn is conveniently located near the airport and ABC Motor homes, making it an ideal location for travelers seeking to RV across Alaska highways. The staff at this Anchorage hotel is very friendly and provided excellent service.

Holiday Inn Express Seward

I was pleasantly surprised to find a Holiday Inn Express as nice as this one is. The room was very clean and comfortable, the facilities were nice, and the complimentary breakfast was very good for complimentary. I highly recommend it.

Loved the location, the breakfast (sweet cinnamon rolls!), and the front desk staff, except for the woman who claimed to be the General Manager. She was apparently working the desk and would only come out to help us once we'd cleared our throats multiple times.

Rooms are small but clean. Beware beds are extremely hard! Pool was nice bonus.

Hilton Anchorage

I stayed here for a convention. We were asked many times by the staff to keep the noise down when we were walking down the hallway just laughing our talking. When we checked in the computer system wasn't working and they couldn't issue all our keys and on the last day our keys didn't even work!

Millennium Alaskan Hotel Anchorage

Spent 3 nights here on business. It is more like a hunting lodge and my room, although large was old and looking a bit tattered around the edges. I had a 4th floor room that looked over part of the lake, but also looked over the dumpster and restaurant loading dock...very noisy early in the AM.

Spent 3 nights here in May '06. Nice hotel, good size rooms with comfortable beds. Restaurant (breakfast 2 days) was good, though it was included in our Club room price, or else we would probably have eaten elsewhere as I've read there are good restaurants nearby. I did notice several people carting their own bags to/from their cars, so I think bellmen are scarce. We used the shuttle from the airport and the driver was very nice, even cleaned up my luggage after noticing something had leaked inside.

This is a great hotel - particularly if the salmon are funning in Ship Creek just out the back door of this hotel. We had a great time watching the fishermen catching 20-25 lb salmon. We spoke with several fishermen who explained the best times to fish for running salmon. The continental breakfasts were very complete and filling - nut just rolls and juice. I wish there would have been room darkening shades to block the midnight sun. The room was too light for a good "night's" sleep.

Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel

If there was a "continental breakfast" we never saw it. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and we have no complains about the room or staff.

Hampton Inn Anchorage

When we first checked in, we were welcomed with fresh warm chocolate chip cookies-complimentary of course. The staff was wonderful, always pleasant and eager to help. The hotel offers a free 24 hour shuttle that takes you pretty much everywhere you could want to go. The complimentary breakfast was like something you would order from a restaurant. They also offered free internet which was a plus. The only bad thing I could say was the pool was a little too cold brrr.... But the hot tub sure made up for it!!

Dimond Center Hotel

My second stay at this property, this time for an entire week. If you can get it at a bargain (or off season), this is, IMHO, the finest property around. Aveda in the sprawling bath (with a window above the tub to watch tv), great beds, bright and soothing. Only complaint is to avoid 1st floor -- too much foot traffic, esp. early in the morning. Also is a bit hidden away in retail parking lot. Will return!

Very nice hotel. Beds are amazing and Bathtub is huge! Our kids were very much at home and the breakfast was great.
